General Terms and Conditions for Auto Salon International PTY Limited

A. Advertising Terms and Conditions
1. All advertising and marketing mediums including, but not limited to, print media, radio, television, website, SMS, PR, electronic, web-based, mobile-based, and/or audio-visual content is considered correct at the time of release.
2. Auto Salon reserves the right to amend and/or alter entertainment guide, show features, ticketing pricing, promotional activities, venue(s), running schedules, layout, show presentation, and/or opening/closing times.
3. Auto Salon shall not be liable for any legal action involved between Auto Salon contractors and the consumer, other employees, licensees, competitors, traders and/or assignees arising from a no-show, direct and/or indirect confrontation and/or direct or indirect damages.
B. General Photography and Video Footage Capture Terms and Conditions
1. All spectators, competitors, hired staff, workers, contractors, entertainers, models hereby consent and authorise Auto Salon International, its licensees and/or assignees, to full usage of any acquired photograph(s) and/or video footage captured during the Auto Salon event and related boundaries.
2. Auto Salon has full right in all reproductions and/or adaptations thereof either in complete and/or in part alone and/or in conjunction with any wording or drawings for all usages including, but not limited to, publicity, advertising, merchandising, commercial and non-commercial usage and/or editorial purposes through such mediums as print, electronic, web-based, mobile based and/or audio-visual content without time constraints and/or expiration date.
3. Unless otherwise agreed upon by Auto Salon International the photograph(s) and/or video footage capture and/or associated drawings and/or wording and/or adaptations shall be deemed to represent an imaginary person and complete property of Auto Salon International, its licensees and/or assignees.
4. No changes to the general photography and video footage capture terms and conditions are accepted unless agreed upon in writing by Auto Salon International, its assignees and/or licensees.
5. Auto Salon will not enter into any form of payment plans nor copyright ownership or intellectual property arguments for acquired photograph(s) and/or video footage with any individual or representative of the individual as an appointed agent, manager, legal representative or person(s) acting on behalf of the individual.
C. Competitor Terms and Conditions
C.1 Motor Vehicles
1. Vehicles must be currently registered as POST 1986 within Australia and at least insured with third party property insurance.
2. It is the Entrants responsibility to maintain at their own cost a comprehensive vehicle insurance policy in respect of their vehicle/s against any loss or liability incurred by them or their agents.
3. Motor Vehicle as part of the exhibition has to be in excellent condition, including cleanliness and presentation.
4. The fuel tank must be full & locked and ignition keys are NOT to be left in the vehicles.
5. The addition or removal of fuel from vehicles while on the premises or any part of the Event Venue is not permitted.
6. Display vehicles are not permitted to leave the hall until the closing of the event.
C.2 All Entrants
1. All entrants must conduct themselves in a safe and orderly manner including the presentation of their vehicles. No smoking of tyres (burn-outs) and no running of engines are permitted.
2. Entrants are liable for any damages they cause to the grounds / venue.
3. Each entrant is issued with credentials allowing entry for the duration of the event. Organisers WILL NOT replace lost or stolen passes.
4. Must produce at all times if required during the event; certified copy of Current Certificate of Registration, Insurance & Drivers Licence.
5. Are not permitted to conduct any business activity including buying/selling transactions, the display or distribution of promotional materials such as business cards, brochures, banners, excessive stickers or wraps, 'FOR SALE' signs (except for drive.com.au for sale sign supplied by Auto Salon International) or company / promotional signs of any nature. Competitors will be disallowed entry into the show and/or disqualified from judging should this rule be broken.
6. Competitors agree that vehicles for sale will be posted only on www.drive.com.au in respect to online sales platforms. (Signage provided by Auto Salon International)
7. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed into the venue on Friday during the set up. All competitors/helpers must wear closed shoes at all times. For more info: http://natindex.nohsc.gov.au/
C.3 Media / Photography
1. All Entrants hereby consent and authorise Auto Salon, its licensees and/or adaptations thereof either in complete and/or in part alone and/or in conjunction with any wording or drawings for all usages including, but not limited to ; publicity, advertising, marketing and/or editorial purposes through such mediums as print, electronic, web-based, commercial based and/or audio-visual resource management content.
C.4 Organiser
1. Will not be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to property, motor vehicle or persons resulting from the attendance of the event.
2. Has the right to deny access to any vehicle or persons into the event if they fail to comply with the event conditions of entry.
3. Decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. Reserves the right to add or delete trophy categories or alter judging to suit each event.
5. No Cash Refunds. Minimum 7 days notice of attendance cancellation is required before credit will be honoured.
D. Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions
1. Applying for media accreditation to any Auto Salon event in Australia and/ or New Zealand strictly implies the applicant has read, understood and adheres, in full, to the media terms and conditions as outlined herewith.
2. Granted media accreditation to any Auto Salon event in Australia and/ or New Zealand legally binds the applicant and their representing organisation/ company to the Auto Salon media terms and conditions.
3. All media representatives agree to conduct themselves accordingly and within expectation/s of the Auto Salon organisers.
4. Media representatives will adhere to all venue and management safety regulations and protocols.
5. Media representatives will refer to and represent all acquired information/ correspondence on behalf of Auto Salon in an accurate and correct manner befitting the event show, including naming rights, sponsors, publication rules and associated licensees and/or assignees.
6. Media representatives must liaise with nominated Auto Salon media officer(s) for all coverage, content and end-result representation.
7. Media representatives will forward final sample of video/ magazine/ article/ website coverage prior to publication for authentication and final media release.
8. Media representatives will deny access to any content obtained at the Auto Salon show without the prior written consent from Auto Salon organisers.
9. Auto Salon organisers retain right of refusal, entry to any media individual, representative or entity regardless of media accreditation status.
10. Media representative agrees to conduct all reporting in a fair and unbiased manner and will not partake in any form of promotional activity on behalf of or in association with traders/ businesses/ car clubs/ individuals and/or organizations unless authorised by Auto Salon.
11. Auto Salon International its licensees and/or assignees will not be held liable for any loss, theft and/or damage to property resulting from attendance to the Auto Salon event show(s).
12. All rights are reserved by Auto Salon International; a breach in terms and conditions can result in legal action.
D.1 Magazine, Website and Video Footage Terms and Conditions
1. Any magazine, website or video production company that wishes to cover the Auto Salon Event for use in a commercial venture must first seek prior approval from Auto Salon International. The intentions must be submitted in writing and must outline/ adhere in the following manner:
- You must submit full disclosure and intention of content usage.
- Nominate the companies involved/ associated in the pre/ post production of content.
- Mediums intended for usage of content (i.e. DVD, TV, Magazine, Website, etc).
- Accurate representation of Auto Salon shows must be strictly adhered to, including naming rights, sponsors, licensees and image portrayal.
- At no stage does Auto Salon International agree or allow for a production company and/or individual to enter into any form of exclusivity deal, contract or preferred supplier agreement(s) with external production parties using directly or indirectly Auto Salon resources.
- Auto Salon reserves the right for request of all images, text, and footage taken in part or whole at any of its show events for purposes of review, internal productions and/or reference.
- Auto Salon does not permit any duplication or forwarding of obtained content to outside parties without written consent from Auto Salon International.
- All acquired content remains property of Auto Salon International.
E. Model Contest Terms and Conditions
1. Auto Salon International, its licensees and/or assignees are not liable in the event any contestant is exposed to or suffers from any loss, damage or injury actual or consequential of whatever kind during their engagement at the Auto Salon Model Contest arising from act of god, trespass, negligence, theft and/or accidental occurrence in whole or in part from event organisers, coordinators or staff.
2. All competition cash and prices are accurate at time of release, print and distribution. Auto Salon reserves the right to alter, amend, change or withdraw any prize pools, prizes and/or cash incentives.
3. Cash and prizes can take up to 28 working days from time of announcement to be delivered; $10000 contract is defined as a minimum of nine (9) actual appearance rate(s) plus expenses associated with travel, meals and accommodation.
4. Magazine editorial production prize is an indication of a standard full day production cost(s)
5. Judges decision is Final for all state/city competitions and the National Finals in Sydney
6. All contestants consent and authorise Auto Salon, its licensees and/or assignees, to full usage of any acquired titles, professional names, video footage and/or photograph(s) obtained from the event/show and related event activities (such as test shoots) through reproductions and/or adaptations thereof either in complete and/or in part alone and/or in conjunction with any wording or drawings for all usages including, but not limited to; publicity, advertising, post-reporting, and/or editorial purposes through such mediums as print, electronic, web-based, commercial based and/or audio-visual content such DVD, Television broadcast and the like.
