The 2008 Lonsdale Miss Auto Salon Swimsuit Contest


The Lonsdale Miss Auto Salon swimsuit competition will be held across Australia’s major cities with the aim to discover, promote and encourage the future modeling talent of one lucky girl for 2008-09.

Auto Salon and its sponsors are looking for fresh and exciting new faces. We look to discover, feature and models as well as expand their modeling careers over and above the Auto Salon show experience. If you’re looking for the break to model for the world-leading Lonsdale clothing label, be featured in the Auto Salon magazine plus win thousands in cash and prizes at the National Finals than this is your opportunity.

All you have to do is register your details (instructions below) and compete at the Auto Salon show in your local city.


Registration Process


Step 1. Register your info and email us models@autosalon.org
Step 2. In the Subject Line of your email please type: “Model Search Contestant”
Step 3. In your Email please include the following information:

a) Which major city will you be entering the Lonsdale Miss Auto Salon?
b) Full Name
c) Age
d) Address (include postcode)
e) Home Number
f) Mobile
g) Nationality/ Background
h) Height
i) Name of current modeling agency (if any)
j) Modeling experience (if any)
k) Attach five (5) clear and recent photos of yourself (photos do not have to be professional photography)

Overall, the contest is a great opportunity for all contestants to have fun, enjoy a day of glamour and attention, meet new people and expand upon their modeling career and experience.

General Information

The Lonsdale Miss Auto Salon will be held in every city the Auto Salon show visits. It does not cost to enter the swimsuit contest. All contestants will be given a single VIP entry pass when they arrive on the Sunday of the event. If they are accompanied by friends or family the accompanying person(s) need to purchase a general admission entry ticket from the relevant ticket booth to enter the Auto Salon show as well.

The competition is a whole day event starting at 10:00am on the Sunday morning of each date. Please note, although the contest is a full day event there will be elimination rounds taking place which will result in some contestants been able to leave and finish up earlier than others (if they are eliminated).

Upon arrival, all contestants will be ushered to the general prep rooms for a full briefing, instructions, schedules, training and Q&A’s. More information regarding the competition will be sent (emailed) individually to models closer to their respective competition day.

Importantly: NO CONTESTANT can compete in the Model Search contest if they are also working as a promo girl at the same Auto Salon show. This is not an option and automatic disqualification will take place if a model is both competing in the model contest and working as a model on the same day at the Auto Salon show.

Please note: you must be over 16 years of age to be eligible to participate in the Model Comp (you must have your parent or legal guardian’s consent if under18).

 

 



 

Model Contest Terms and Conditions
1. Auto Salon, its sponsors, licensees and/or assignees are not liable in the event any contestant is exposed to or suffers from any loss, damage or injury actual or consequential of whatever kind during their engagement at the Lonsdale Miss Auto Salon comp arising from act of god, trespass, negligence, theft and/or accidental occurrence in whole or in part from event organisers, sponsors, coordinators or general staff.
2. All competition cash and prices are accurate at time of release, print and distribution. Auto Salon and its sponsors reserve the right to alter, amend, change or withdraw any prize pools, prizes and/or cash incentives.
3. Cash and prizes are expressed as a cumulative amount for the entire competition including state and national cash and prizes.
5. Judges decision is Final at both city and national level.
6. All contestants consent and authorise Auto Salon, its sponsors, licensees and/or assignees, to full usage of any acquired titles, names, video footage and photograph(s) obtained from the event/show/comp and related event activities (such as test shoots) through reproductions and/or adaptations thereof either in complete and/or in part alone and/or in conjunction with any wording or drawings for all usages including, but not limited to; publicity, advertising, post-reporting, and/or editorial purposes through such mediums as print, electronic, web-based, commercial based and/or audio-visual content such DVD, Television broadcast and the like.
